these are giant tortoises at the st. louis zoo.

did you know that male tortoises grunt and honk while engaging in coitus?

did you know that the female tortoise is backwards, and that he's humping the wrong end?

he didn't know either!

i had another shot that wasn't in focus where she's turned sideways, facing the camera, and he's humping her side. overzealous.
