For this to work as a minimalistic photograph, there needs to be both more and less detail. More detail in the white flower. It needs to be pure. It needs to be perfect in this case. There are some small imperfections in the petals, and it feels slightly out of focus. It also lacks sharpness. There needs to be less detail in the background. It needs to be smooth as to not draw attention from the beauty (or hideousness) of the subject you want to show.
But I think you're on to something here. If you can find a perfect flower and have the technical means to get creamy out-of-focus blur, you can definently make this type of composition and color work.
i'll have to agree to disagree on a few things, but thanks for the suggestions.
remember, nature isn't meant for perfection.
