Since getting the pond, we've had some gorgeous wild little guests.
YES. A REAL butterfly--IN NEW JERSEY. Don't hold your breath, it really happens. I don't have a macro lens so this was really pushing that 18mm end of the dslr kit lens (so the focus isn't the...best) but you get the idea. I could've done a narrow depth of field and the usual, but I dig the contrast of textures as well as keeping the butterfly in the context of nature/environment rather than a studio (or in a nature so blurred that it might as well be a studio). |
