This is the horse from "Smile."


The shot was originally horizontal, showing the full snout as the horse nodded for food. He got pretty excited and showed off his one blue eye (david bowie style). I cropped it vertically because this shot is all about lines--of the wood, corral, and the horses head separating the two. Except for his eye, the shot is desaturated.

I can't remember the shot stats, but it was a fairly narrow depth of field as evidence by the eye/cheek being in focus and the rest of the snout showing some blur. I took this in Tennessee last summer.

I like my quirky shots.
Fullview makes a difference because of that eye.

personally i find horses a bit scary.. so this is freaky to me. But I did learn that horses have eye colours other than brown. So definatly leave in the colour.

I like the crop but I didnt pick up on it bein about lines.

composition is always about lines.

and the eye is a mutation. the other is brown, as i said

i wasn't familiar with the description for smile so I didn't realize this blue eye was a mutation or that the other eye was brown.

My sister has different coloured eyes...which makes her a mutant i guess.

I like the crop, I think you maybe should throw it into black and white because you could get some nice contrast due to the light...or maybe put everything in black and white apart from the eye, just an idea it might not work. Nice work :D
